CPR worst game????No way.....

Likewise... I was running it on a P233MMX, 64mb RAM so now with my new pc I
think I will dig it out and give it another go. As has already been
mentioned the actual racing wasn't too hot but I got a lot of enjoyment out
of the hotlapping (OK maybe that's a bit of an exageration with my
driving..) aspect of the game.

Having just got back into GP2 I think it's time to give some of these others
another go as well...

CPR worst game????No way.....

Never tried online play, but offline this game was practically
unplayable.  The AI had there own weird idea about driving, speeding up
then slowing down then speeding up again.  Race starts were a complete
nightmare.  Go with a pace lap and, if you were near the back, you'd
have to wait whilst the cars in front would start to rotate through 180
degrees and by the time it came to your turn to move off there would be
all these cars all over the track facing every which way except the way
they were supposed to be going.  Often this would result in your car
waiting so long that the leaders would be hitting the green flag whilst
you were still on the back section of the track.

Go without a pace lap and getting a good getaway was a lottery.  I never
knew whether to put my foot down or not and sometimes just a slight
acceleration would result in me plowing into the car in front resulting
in a broken front wing.  Sit there and some car would rear end me
resulting in a rear broken wing.  If that didn't get me then
occasionally the steering would go all to***, with my frantic attempts
to steer to the left being thwarted by the car wanting to drive to the
right and straight into a wall.  Guess what?  Yeah, at least another
broken wing.

I really wanted to like this game, but even after the patch came out the
same problems remained and eventually I gave up.  I kept checking the
Microsoft web site for any more new updates for months afterwards
because the game certainly had potential, but unfortunately, to this day
there has only been that one patch. :(
