Oh there's the update!!!
Why is www.west-racing.NET not updated??seems like I've missed quite a few
things... maybe other people have too, thinking that they TOTALLY abandoned
the project like I did because they went to the .NET site, not the .COM
one..

I really, really hope that these guys actually get something out sometime.

I keep thinking that the project has finally died but no.

Honestly!  It's beginning to remind me of Jason.   ;o)

Yes I agree... I haven't OVERLY been following this project like some
people, but this is the first I've heard of them mentioning a physics model
and optimization of it. The chassis flex thing sounds amazing, and if
implemented, it would definately make things like GPL finally seem quite
outdated.

Yes the chassis flex sounds great, but chassis (especially racing chassis)
are so stiff that it will need to sample at an extremely high frequency (too
high for a realtime racing sim running on a PC). Look at it this way, there
has never been an F1 sim with stiff enough suspension and a high enough
sampling rate to be realistic. The GPx series used a hack 'em up crappy
suspension model to get around the problem, the F1200x series uses
artificially soft suspension. And chassis are *much* stiffer than even F1
suspension.

It sounds like that's another feature (like the area sourced lighting in the
screenshot) which they're developing, and will later have to abandon if
they're in any way serious about selling this thing to guys like us.
