I downloaded all the editors from the FTP site and none of them seem to work.
He bought F1GP and had it registered...and Microprose sent him a registered
patch. Does this mean it has been updated to ver 1.3 and cant be edited ?

Check the version number of your game from the "about" button. If it's
not 1.05, the new 2.0 version of F1ED (by SurfNazis) will not work. You
can get an update to the game from for example ftp.funet.fi.
