Happened to catch this last night.  Very cool but it was only on for an
hour and they didn't give you any indication of the running time.
BTW, it was on the "real" Nurburgring.  A few cars had problems halfway
around a lap; long limp back to the pits.

I loved the lime-green Nissan Skyline! :)

After watching this, I wished for two things:

1) That Speed would show the entire 24H race
2) That someone would make a 24H+ video tape
   (That would be a T1440. :) )

Did it explain the screwup with the Viper Fueling?   I still haven't
heard a clear explanation of what happened.  Something about an irregular
fuel tank or fuel rig or something,   The car was apparently held in the
pits several times?  See I haven't read a good summation yet.

I only caught the tail end of them talking about it. But it sounded
like they were given two 5 lap penalties for having slightly more than
the allowable 90 litre limit for fuel.
`They were 9 laps down at the end of the race, so it looks to me
like it cost them the win.

The Zakspeed team in the previous year ran a Chrysler Viper with a 90 liter
tank. However this year they called their Viper a DODGE-Viper and in the
car's papers it said 120 liter tank. (Just like the competition's touring
cars) This detail caught the officials attention only when the first tank
stop happened.
