You and Orton are not to be trusted on the matter of vehicle balance... ;-))

For my taste:
The 3-series is boring and the 5-series is undrivable.
Hmmm..., what now?

(re: me preferring stable Eagle to twitchy Braby)

Thanks Haqs, I'll give that a try one of these days. If it works
miracles for me & the Brab, you'll be sure to hear about it  ;)

I tried the other tips you suggested and didn't see very much improvement,
but that was probably just me.  So, went back to the default setup and
lowered the fuel to 10 gallons and was much more consistent.  I ran a short
6 lap race and finished 5th, my highest finish yet, thanks again for the
help.

Dan

Race
1  1:39.41
2  1:31.94
3  1:31.22
4  1:31.21
5  1:31.69
6  1:31.38

Finished 5th, 5.50 back from the Leader, Jim Clark.

J. Surtees was hard to pass, very strong on the straights, not sure what
type car that was, I'll have to check that out.

Hey, pretty nice going Dan. If you're new to GPL, these times aren't bad
at all (I remember doing about 1:37s in the beginning before I more or
less learnt how to drive ;)

That's the White Whale aka Honda  ;)  If it's in front of you, no
problem, if it's in your mirrors near Parabolica, go ahead and panic
under braking ;)

Um...no.  I ran a full GP at the Ring yesterday(Masters of GPL).  I lost count
of how many times I spun, and most of them I have NO idea why I spun.  I was
using one of Alison's setups(Ferrari).  Hell, if I can't even get a STABLE car
around the track, I don't have *any* hope with a hotlapper setup.  That was a
frustrating race...

I'm not sure I would call Alison's setups stable.  I know everybody thinks
they are great, but I have never been able to drive them.  I think that her
typical choice of spring and bar rates is just too high.  Softer springs =
more forgiving.  My favorite setups are still the ones where I started with
the defaults and just did very minor tweaking from there.
