Who was it that said "When you can leave black lines from the end of one
corner to the beginning of the next you have enough power" ? ;-)

Not to mention the tons of work they've put into iGOR - which will
actually prevent cheating from that "infernal engine switcher".  Maybe
they've just decided they want to turn thier talents towards something
that's significantly different from the original '67 season. I've got
exactly 0 complaints about what's to come, and in what order.

Um, you make it sound like some kind of work would need to be done for the
'67 season.  It's already done.  Just won't be released.

Somebody here had it on their sig line for a long long time.  I'd say it
was the Boy Genius ...Mark Donahue.  Probably spoken about the time he was
destroying Can Am with the 1000+hp twinturbo Porche 917-30.  But that is
just a guess.

There was a concern at its launch but it really didn't have any impact and
it wasn't long before detection mechanisms followed anyway.

I would imagine it has paved the way for the more significant mods we are
about to see with GPL65 and the development has matured to detect mods
before starting online racing rather after analysing replays.

Personally I would like to thank these guys, not shoot them!

Cheers

Thanks for the link, Malc.

I think Roger Penske was quoted as saying: "Luck is where preparation
meets opportunity."

IIRC Jim Clark said something along the lines of "If you make a mistake
in a corner & don't crash you weren't going fast enough"

Agree with you and Uwe 100%.  This is really silly if it is true.
