GP2-Canada Track 97?

by Richard Busc » Mon, 06 Apr 1998 05:00:00

Has anyone made a new Canada Track circa 1997? I've got Matti's track
and that is very good, but it still has the *** esses at the start of
the back straight. I'd like the track without the curves and just
straight from the old pits to the new pits.
I am trying to do this with the track editor, but so far I just haven't
figured out just yet how to do it. I've only tried for an hour : (

I also have another track for Canada, but the pit exit is screwy, the
usual offsets and weirdness with edited tracks.

Thanks,  ZZ Busch

I am presently making a 1998 version of the Montreal track, with accurate
heights and track layout.  It's very difficult, but I know the track by
heart, living 5mins only from the track.

I raced a lot there, and all I can say is that the Gp2 Montreal track is
very accurate for the 1994 season.  F1RS's Montreal track layout is very
bad, IMHO.  I also plan for a 1978 track layout of the Gilles Villeneuve
circuit (at that time called the ?le Notre-Dame circuit).  Oh yeah and maybe
a Mosport track, but only during the summer.

It's more difficult than it looks,

I can't wait. I've been to the races the last 5 years.

You got that right. I've been trying myself, but no luck so far. I've
just been trying to pull the track around to make ends match up. No luck
yet.

Let me know when you finish it. E-mail it to me, please.
