There's always interest in making things better for the offline racers,
you'd be surprised how many people actually race against the AI despite
a vocal crowd shouting about how important online racing and that's
where the future is, the vast majority plays games against the AI, the
question is how many of them will be DL'ing your work

Personally I haven't really raced against the AI since N99, the last
time I lapped in earnest among computer controlled cars was when I did
my only tangible contribution to the sim "editing" community by lapping
some tracks David Noonan had converted for N3 and providing replays for
the RPY->LP converter, so what do I know :-)

Don't look at me :-), I've barely lapped some of the tracks in this sim
yet and none of the ovals
