. . . to everybody who wrote to the developers. Here's the text of the
reply to my own email.

"We did make a decision awhile ago to remove dashes, however,
I would like to let you know that we have changed our minds and will
include a***pit view for the release of this product.  I don't know if it
will get into the demo, and I'm pretty sure it will be one generic
dashboard,
rather each specific vehicle (although we will look into it).  This is based
on the amount of mail we received on this issue.  Nobody here uses it, and
it surpised us to find how many people would use it.  There may also be a
few more  changes based on other feedback. Thanks for your feedback and I
hope you will enjoy the game.
Regards,
Gjon"

Wow, that's excactly what I suggested in my email... ;^)

I still can't believe that he is surprised that lots of people want a
***pit
view. Imagine all flight sims would lack a***pit view, impossible!!!

In which case you'll find the next bit very strange. I also requested
support for dual axis pedals - her'es the reply:

"We don't drive a real vehicle with just one axis, so, yes you can use two.

At which point I went to lie down . ... .
