Secundo... it's a binary group. That means it's meant for posting files
(related to this group fyi), and not for normal "text"-posts.
Tertio... it's considered very poor manners to attempt to take over a
newsgroup.
If you feel you're drowning in a see of Gp3 posts on RAS, may I suggest
Jacob's server (news.simracing.org). Which has a newsgroup architecture on a
per game basis.

Don't worry, the "oval" posts will come back up for air soon.

I can see it now...
WSC sucks!
WSC rules!
Where is the WSC WaReZ?
Is my P75 powerful enough?
Is my P1150 powerful enough?
In fact, let's jump into the future. Take the last month of postings and
replace all "GP3" with "WSC".

Paul E ...
And having a architecture for different sims doesn no good at all.. 99% of
all post land in n3.discussion.. well except the ratbag.discussion,
nh.discussion and wsc.discussion

Some ISP do not carry all of the alt.binaries.... newsgroups. Due to
the extreme load some of the put on their resources.
Tip of the day for posting to r.a.s. ALWAYS start the header with
something to indicate what the thread is about.. This way one can
ignore posts about things they are interested in and can also find ones
that they are interested in.....
o Is the subject line both descriptive and accurate ?
o People can select the articles which most appeal to them if you
include a keyword in your Subject Field with something about the
topic you are posting about. Since many different simulators are
discussed, it is highly suggested that you start off your Subject
Field with a "code" related to the topic you are posting. This
will make it easier for readers to choose the posts they wish to
read. Also, some news readers can actually filter out specific
posts to be read or discarded based on keywords.
Examples:
Code Simulation
F12K Formula 1 2000
F1RS F1 Racing Simulation
GP1 Grand Prix 1 or World Circuit
GP2 Grand Prix 2
GP3 Grand Prix 3
GPL Grand Prix Legends
ICR2 IndyCar Racing 2
MGPRS2 Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2
MTM Monster Truck Madness
N3 Nascar Racing 3
N99 Nascar Racing 1999 edition
NFS Need For Speed
NFSSE Need For Speed Special Edition
SCGT Sports Car GT
SODA SODA (Short-Course Offroad Drivers Association)
TOCA TOCA (Touring Car Contructors Association)
Touring Car Championship
o If you are following up an article to create a new article, please
remember to delete the References: line in the header. This will
help
the readers who use a threaded news reader; otherwise your new topic
will be mixed in with an old one.
