In my local games shop they are selling CART Precision Racing for a bargain
20 pounds.  Is this worth getting?  I've briefly played the demo and it
looks quite good, with good engine sounds, ok graphics etc.  But from what
I can gather not many of you rate it too highly.  Please advise.

Well... for 20pounds I would say no but...

It all depend on what other racing simulators you have. If you don't have
Icr2 yet, don't care about C:PR get "Cart Racing" from Papyrus. If you
already have most of the racing titles (C:PR, F1RS, Nascar2, Gp2, etc..),
and you want to have fun hotlapping on road courses, get it.

C:PR still has good things, but too many bad points to consider buying it
for 20pounds (hmm that's around 35$ US ?).

Hmmm, the price is a bit rich, but it is quite good, esp if you have a
3dfx card and a fast CPU (+200), else the graphics will be naff! Sim
engine almost as good as Indy2, graphics with 3DFX much better...... GP2
still has the best sim engine in my opinion,  but you need a monster

Some love it some hate it! If you want more information on the game head
over to http://cart.gamestats.com

People are starting to create all kinds of new tracks for the game so if you
enjoy the feel of the driving you will be racing on new tracks for quite
awhile!

Thanks
John

I love mine. If you do get it make sure to go to the different sites and use
the advice on controller settings and setups and such. It will increase your
enjoyment 1000%.

It's almost impossible to get ICR2 in the UK (or Nascar2 for that matter). I
would buy them both if I came across them. Sierra/Papyrus aren't big over here
and they don't reply to mails you send to their UK site.

http://www.sierra.com/ has a very good online store.  I buyed all of the
racing sims from them, and they can sell everywhere in the world.

Just go there and command CART racing or/and Nascar 50th Anniversary (N2 +
the GNS expansion set).

I would say your best bet is to go to Sierra's US web site and purchase them
from there.
I have found purchasing things this way to be really easy and reliable. If
you want any more info e-mail me....

First off Paul, I did get a reply from Sierra UK saying that there was
no chance of them releasing the BGN pack in the UK, and that you
should order from the url provided by "YM" below... I'm sure I see N2,
and maybe even ICR2 (as ICR2) in high street stores like "Game"...

And I'll second that, I bought the GNS and when ordering just one, the
postage *somehow* is included in the asking price. All that shows up
on the credit card bill is a charge for the converted $$$ price.
Downside is of course it took 3 weeks and 1 day.

If you definitely want the GNS pack (Busch tracks: mostly the 2nd
series of NASCARs' less than half mile ovals) then you'd have to get
the package "YM" mentions....

If you wish to buy just N2 or Cart Racing (ICR2) then places like
Special Reserve are a good bet. Browse to http://special.reserve.co.uk
and I'm sure you can buy it there. I think membership is 5.50 but you
can get a free gift (like a 24 CD wallet holder) and any game ordered
online gets free first class delivery. I'd recommend them just as a
long and satisfied customer, but there are rivals to SR like Gameplay,
http://www.gameplay.co.uk ?

Feel free to mail me for any more help/info. :)
