Getting more ram will help you out, and it is cheap...at least it was
when I bought some a little while ago...

Running with dma depends on your motherboard. Some work, and some
don't...what mb do you have?

Hello all,

A few day ago I posted that I couldn't get Red Rock to run on my
computer, I would always get the following message: "Cannot Load
Complete Track Description." I have since downloaded both tracks and
they still won't run. But I found out something today. I got an e-mail
saying I might need more than 16MB or Ram? Is this true? God I hope not,
then I won't be able to use the expansion pack then. I also found out
that I can't get the tracks to run in -dma. They do load up in normal
mode, but I can't really play them, cause the screen becomes to choppy.
I have no problem playing N2 in -dma mode, I can race with all the
graphics turned on and at 30 fps i belive, well it's not choppy. But
when I try and load the two fantasy tracks in -dma mode, I get that
error message. Anyone know why? I have a P150 with 16MB of Ram and the
Reactor card.
Thanks for any help anyone might have.

I had the same problem.

1.  Make sure you have downloaded the current version of these tracks from the
Sierra web site.  They will run in rendition mode.

2.  If you have the the old versions of the fantasy tracks, you do need more
than 16 megs of RAM.

I have the updated tracks and they run fine on my 16 meg pentium 133.
