Hi all, Has anyone used the TM GP1 wheel with MS CPR? I used to play it
with a J stick and throttle but now with the GP1 wheel I cant seem to get
it to use the paddles for gas and brake? Is it not possible? Thanks again
for any help. Aloha, Mike

Hi Mike,

It should work ok, just make sure the gas and brake pedals are 'ganged'
together, as per a normal joystick.  You may need an adaptor from
Thrustmaster to do this.  Don't forget to set your controller up in W95
first (as the only controller, No.1).   CART has no facility at the
moment for seperate axis control on the brake and gas pedals, hopefully
this will be resolved in a later patch.

Best of luck

Dave,Mike,

I just picked up a New GP1 an there is a note added to the owner manual
that says the Adapter isn't needed anymore. They modified the internal
wiring of the wheel to fix the adapter problem.
I think there was a mention of something about his problem on the
website for TM. Also there is a add-on prg to check the TM wheels at
there website also...

Hi, thanks for responding but its odd I also just got this wheel two days
after x-mas. And while TM has rewired the GP1 as of #961118 wouldn't you
know it mine is #961117 hehe whats the chances of that? Anyway it works
fine now in CPR since I followed Robert Lorties advice at the Apex site in
old news archive from Nov.18th to nov.30th. Amazing how he figured that out
but now I set up as a T1/T2 and dont set ant car commands in CPR for
buttons 3,4 &7,8 and now my paddles can brake and accelerate the way I
like. Aloha,Mike
