Does anyone owns a copy of Nascar2 with runs on a cyrix processor.
I ask this because the demo doesn't work and i think it is because
i have a cyrix p150 processor.
Please let me know because i would like to buy this game.
I allready own Nascar1 is it much improved ??

Thanks for any reactions.

The Cyrix WILL work with the full version of Nascar2. If you are using a
Rendition based video card card you should be able to run the enhanced
version (Nasrend) also. The Rendition DMA version (Renddma) is doubtful
on the Cyrix due to controller problems. Sierra's message board 'tech'
actually  says that almost anyone running the DMA version is having
control problems regardless of the CPU type, but I've only heard
complaints from Cyrix owners regarding that. Maybe it's patchable???

But...The regular version and Nasrend version WILL run on a Cyrix. All
versions are on the same CD ROM.

My system:
Cyrix 150+ Oc'd to 166+
BIOSTAR 8500 TVX MB w 256K PB cache
16MEG RAM

Good Luck,
Alan

I run NASCAR 2 on a Cyrix P100 CPU with no problems.  There are a few
bugs in the software (documented in this group over and over again)
but I think it is a worthwhile upgrade from N1.
