F1RS - Reltive Usage?

What is relative usage?

   Is this right?

Relative Usage - Tires and fuel are consumed at a constant
rate regardless of your driving style.

Not Relative Usage - Tires and fuel are consumed depending
on the abuse you are giving them.
                        (More realistic)

   Or is this something else?

Bottom line, which is more realistic?

                                                      Thanks
                                                      Larry

I believe, this relates to shorter race distances. If you reduce the
number of laps and activate relative usage, the fuel and tire
consumption (?)
are increased per lap. That way you'll have to make pit stops as often
as when racing the whole distance.

I never used it, because I only do full races (long and exhausting in
F1RS,
but almost impossible in Nascar2)... ;^)

Larry,
Relative usage refers to the rate at which your tyres and fuel
will be consumed/used.
For example , with relative usage on,a tyre type that lasts 16
laps in a 100% race will last 8 laps in a 50% race . A lap that consumes 2.5
litres of fuel in a 100% race will consume 5.0 litres in a 50% race.
This feature is implemented so that a racer wishing to run a shorter
distance race is not deprived the stratigic side of pitstops and fuel loads.
Hope this helps.
Peter
