What is happend to GPal?

>Just what any marketing / game company would want...

>A list of e-mail address to a bunch of pissed off people :)

... whose other common characteristic is an interest in an arcane
historic racing simulator. Yeah, this is a list I would want to buy if
I was selling - hmmm, well, maybe a historic punching bag? ;)

Here's my take at what happened: Jack thought GPaL was almost
finished. Then he had to postpone development due to his new job. When
he had a bit of time again, he discovered a few bigger bugs in his
code and decided to fix them before reappearing here. Fixing the bugs
took a lot longer than he expected (it always does). When Jack visited
RAS again, he saw that a *** mob was waiting for him and decided not
to surface again until he had his program ready for release - which,
under these circumstances, may well be never.

Hey, Jack, if you are reading this: despite all the accusations, there
are still a lot of people who would love to see GPaL released. Heck, I
would even be grateful. :)

Now call me a gullible fool.

This may very well be true. But I find it very strange that Jack found the
time to post before, and now can't find 2 min to let us know what is going
on.

Has anyone qualified actually offered to help Jack?

I've been writing an application for GPL.  I doubt very much that Jack
is going to produce anything like GPaL, so, I'm trying to putt together
something similar. Don't expect anything though as my programming
abilities are limited to say the least.  I did write the GPL lap time
converter posted on The Pits, Sim Racing Mag, and Mike Hortons pages.

Speaking of which, I have to send the updated version to the Pits
site.  Latest version is 1.0 (file ver.. 0.0.0.8)

I've never seen any posts from Jack asking for help.
