sbk2000? I'll bite, I'm  newbie here :)

Whatt is SBK2000, and where can I download the demo?

Thanks,

Paul.

EA's new Superbike 2000 sim/game - so far I think it's excellent and the
physics are much much better than the demo.  The graphics are beautiful and
the game's a real challenge.  In fact, the bike is a real bastard - no
wonder Nori Haga is called No Luck Nori - the Yammi R7 is an animal :-)

Love it, but cannot get over the unrealistic physics while riding in grass
and sand.

Is it a great deal better than EA's Superbike World Championship? And in
what ways?
Thanks, Andrew.

I'm afraid I didn't play the original game so I can't make a comparison,
BUT, SBK2000 is a great game, and frankly because they come along so few and
far between, bike racing games like GP500 and SBK2000 need all the support
they can get.  Anyway, I've bought it and definitely don't regret it.  I
went to Brands Hatch today to watch some bike racing and the similarity is
incredible.

I played sbk to my hearts extent.  I havn't got full version of sbk2000 yet...
but that's cause my local stores are getting it in a week late.  but on the
beta i downloaded here's what I can tell you.

-updated physics... just sweet.  control's are the same (sensitivity wise) but
I'm use to it and love it.
-graphics...graphics...graphics.  you've probably seen the screenshots and you
know what I'm talkin about
-99' season.  as expected
-Best model of Laguna Seca seen in any sim.  You remember the problems from
sbk1... this totaly fixes that complaint.
-Ai really fights with you... very tough ai.  makes it last.
-internet play... code for mp in beta is bit choppy... but friends with full
say's its been fixed and really sweet.

Compared to sbk... it has great all around improvements.

One thing I didn't like about the SBK 2000 demo:

In last year's game, the rear-end of the bike would rise up and cause
a crash if I braked too hard. It was frightening and exciting, and
really added to the feeling that I was controlling a very powerful
machine. I couldn't get the SBK 2000 demo to do it, een with all
driving aids turned off.

Anyone seen if this is in the full game or not?

Yes I've done a stoppie, that and a lot more.  I couldn't get the demo to
high-side or make me worry about turn-in speed or exit acceleration but the
full game makes you concentrate pretty hard.

Joe, if you turn off Rider Assist in Rider Settings with the
full game you get this plus much more. High speed wobble,
over steer, under steer and the back end kicking out on you.
    The game is awesome!
