Btw the cars, track, etc looked incredible from the outside.
BUT the***pit looks like a Japanese stereo rack and there's
an animated steering wheel there. Ouch! Animated steering wheel,
is it an arcade game? Must be that they haven't cared about
getting rid of it from F1GP. I really hope it is gone in the
release version. Two steering wheels...
Another note, why the hell is the graphic detail displayed in the
***pit just like in F1GP?? No need to have a ***y display
telling you that the track texture is on, you can see that yourself
by looking at the track which you do constantly when driving...
It should be a F1***pit, not some Need4Speed***pit!
Although, I'll bet the***pit will be redesigned completely, can't
have a ***design like that in what is looking to be a ***y great
game. Really hope, too, that Geoff Crammond and his men make GP 2
more realistic than its predecessor just like Papyrus has done
with ICR II. If they do it's going to rule like hell!!
Let's hope it is being released in the spring. I won't be surprised
if it didn't come out until Xmas 1996...

Can't wait until they release it as it's looking like being a truly
wonderful Crammond-creation!

: Could someone please upload it to ftp.wustl.edu or something like that,
: pleeeeease.
Can someone please post it to alt.binaries.multimedia or somewhere
relevent?
Alternatively, does anyone know of an Australian mirror of it?
Thankyou. Tom Bromberger.

Actually, Earl, I think I understand what he means. The server timed
me out after 5 minutes when I tried to download it : (
I tried it a few times from work (IP) and once at home (modem) both
times using Netscape. I was timed out each time. I only got 10-13% of the
file, which would have taken a little over 35 minutes to download by IP.

I doubt if I have write-access to ftp.wustl.edu. But I just tried but
can't get in there (connection keeps timing out). So again: if someone

I am trying to get the movie as well and can't get it. Maybe you can upload it
at a site like "ftp://src.doc.ic.ac.uk/incoming". Or maybe you could mail it to me?
When you uploaded it to the ftp site please give us a call.
Alvast bedankt;

Here in Australia we are pretty poor souls. We have to wait months after
games/magazine releases before laying our hands on the products. (some of 'em
anyway).
Not only wont we get the January edition of PCZone till about feb, but I can't
seem to download the much spoken of F1GP2.MOV file from the web site in the UK.
It keeps dropping out after about 700K (***y frustrating).
Could someone please upload it to ftp.wustl.edu or something like that,
pleeeeease.
Thanx in advance
Barry

When I first putit up nobody seemed to have any difficulty with it. I
suggest that it's the load that all you hungry people are putting on our
already quite busy server that's slowing us down.
