D3D problem with V3 3500

When I use the new patch and set the core.ini settings to the values,
papy told us, I have very good framerate and marvellous pictures, but
over and under the game-screen, in the black aera, the are building up
more and more light groups of pixels. Seems so, as if they are copying
out from the game-screen, sometimes, there is a little flicker in parts
of the screen.

What can I change.

PIII, 500 MHz, 128 MB, V3 3500 (not overclocked)
GPL 1.2

I tried the D3d patch today on my V3 - 3000 and it worked great... However
Voodoo users should just use the GLIDE option... The D3d patch won't give
any fps increase at all over the GLIDE option, it even drops some fps...

Agreed, I tried out the D3D patch with my V3500 and found it to be
functional but slower than the native glide of the card.  Stick to glide
whenever possible with a 3DFX card.

Until I went over 1024x768 things were pretty equal with the D3D
rasterizer.  Except for the starts with AI or when there was alot of
traffic (i.e., hairpins, etc.), then instead of the frame rate dropping
to mid-20's it basically drops to 6 fps for a split second.  Otherwise
there wasn't much difference between Glide and D3D.  However at the
higer resolutions (which I only use in training), frame rates took a
nose dive.
