Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not sure.  I start a Championship
season and race in arcade mode.  When I get to the screen that shows the
rear of my car, the only option I have is Race.  I can't qualify or
anything.  I changed it from arcade to simulation and still was only able
to race from the back of the pack.

I raced the first race and won it, but when I pressed ESC and it showed my
victory lane shot, that was it.  I had no option to accelerate time to let
the others finish.  I pitted and waited for them, but all cars stopped.
Pressed ESC again, and got the victory lane pic again.  I can't do anyhting
except Leave Track, which loses the race stats!  What am I doing wrong?

What I suspect is happening is that you are continuing the existing
(arcade mode) season, and the fact that the season is in arcade mode
is overriding the mode you are selecting (I've not actually run a
season in N2, so I could be blowing smoke...)

If you see the victory lane shot, you shouldn't need to accelerate
time any further. When you leave track, it should save the race stats
to the season file. Unfortunately, I can't help you with what you
might be doing wrong, as I haven't played with that part of the game.
(Multiplayer is too much fun for me...)

I'm going to be as nice as possible in responding to this one.  READ
THE MANUAL!  If people would just READ the manuals for various games,
these questions would never come up.  In arcade mode, you
AUTOMATICALLY start at the back of the pack, just as the MANUAL
states.  As for the rest, check the manual <g>.
