The bungee in my 3-year old T2 finally broke, and Thrustmaster refuses to
send replacement parts.

So...where can I find a replacement bungee, or equivalent?  I'm not looking
to buy another wheel right now, as there's nothing out there in my price
range (<$100) that grabs my fancy.

Any help would be appreciated!

That's what i used when my t2 broke,
Get the light ones and cut off the ends, used tie wraps to secure them in place.

I haven't tried this, but what about those bungee luggage straps?  You know the
ones with hooks on the ends.

Just a thought.

Well, I just went down to my local hardware store and bought the right
diameter bungee cord.

I would recommend looking at MAd Catzs Andertti Wheel.  It is spring
centered, and is in much better shape after a months hard use then my T2
was at the same age.  Plus its digital.

If you're looking for something under $100, have you checked out the
Mad Catz Andretti Racing Wheel (retail price $65 or so)?  It's a great
wheel, and it's digital.  Check out the following review for more
details:

Enjoy!

Strange, just a coupla weeks ago they sent me parts for my T2,
pots, springs, et. al. No bungee, but I didn't ask for one, either.
They just sent me a kit for my Nascar PRO, too including bungee.
Looks like the plain, run-of-the-mill bungee section to me...

Take out your bungie cord and head to your nearest hardware store. Get a
package of the right size wire wraps, and you're set.

When did yo order your bungie cord from Thrustmaster? I got a
replacement just last week.

I just took the sad remnants of my bungee down to the 'scout' shop  (heheh)
and bought about 3 feet of the same sized bungee off them ..! It worked for
me...then tied them in using cable ties, about .2 p each..but you may find
you need an extra hand...<g>...jv

Not in my case.  Said my wheel was "out of warranty".

Bungee cord used to be called shock cord, before New Zealand inveted
bungee jumping. It is used extensively on boats, sailing boats in
particular. If you go to your local sailing boat store they should
have it in all different sizes and colours.

Strange....I was *just* thinking about Thrustmaster, and what a
superb job they've done at customer service.  Of course, my dealings
with them go back a couple years, but Thrustmaster had by then gained
an incredibly loyal following, based, in no small part, on the
strength of their commitment to customer service.

Is the above complaint merely a single instance of (perhaps
mistakenly) poor service, or is the Thrustmaster I used to know gone?
