What about Nascar Revolution?

I know this may be sacrilege, but can anyone say how Nascar Revolution is
now with a patch or two in place?

I'm considering Nascar 3, but I found Nascar 2 rather difficult for my
casual racing interest, but heard so many bad things about Revolution that I
took a pass.

Thanks.

I really like nascar revolution. It is an awesome arcade racer with some sim
thrown in there. I love nascar 3 but they dont model the bumps in the track
at talladega...the force feedbackis awesome. It has come down in price and
if nascar2 is a little too SIM for you then u may be happy with Nas Rev. I
have a 450celery v2-sli and it runs great with the latest patch. I love
n3/gpl but the force feedback in Nas Rev is really good.

Hi Kenneth,

Have you tried N2 in arcade mode?  Wow, it might be too much action!
Try getting a "hooked" setup in simuation mode then run in arcade mode...  it's
wild.  I only did this once, but hey it's in there so why not try it? :-D

Jason.

You were wise to pass on Nascar Revolting.

The performance is better with the patch, but there are NO physics, the
wrecks seem to be pre-recorded, and it's dreamland to think that any of the
setup options correlate to _anything_ the car does on the track.

NasRev is a wipeout.

Having had fun with some of EA's other driving games, i bought Nascar
Revolution hoping for the same "fun experience" when i wanted a break from
driving sims.  You are welcome to it.  It is a Piece of $hit.  You just need
to figure out how to pay for the shipping and it is yours.

Not to comment on the relative quality of the game, but any day now
they are supposed to come out with a "gold" edition of NASCAR
Revolution, which will should have the patches included (although
costing a few bucks more versus the original which I assume has been
marked down a bit by now).

nothing to be frightened of, and no limit, any fool could get into
a motor car and racing would not exist as a sport." -- Jim Clark
