To toss some fuel on the good old "is it a sim or not" fire-
In the new issue of PC Gamer, Dave Ross (producer of NASCAR Revolution) says "it's the NASCAR game for the rest of us." The article goes on to mention a toned-down driving model, but spouts great praise for the nice graphics and the ability to flip the car......

<YAWN> A high polygon count and pretty textures don't make a sim- and either does EA.

It IS good for one thing.  Scamming wav files for sound effects to use in other
games.  Twenty-one different sounds alone for slamming into stuff!  Guess we
know where they're heading with that.  And you gotta admit; the sunset IS
nice.

hmm.

'In the new issue of PC Gamer, Dave Ross (producer of NASCAR Revolution) says
"it's the NASCAR _game_ for the rest of us."'

now, being a big fan of Grand Prix Legends myself, which part of the above
quote from the game designer did you not understand?

this was never intended to be a sim.  your condescending attitude is rather
unnecessary.
