Thanks to those who pointed me to the other sites...where I was supposed to
be able to check out the demo of NASCAR Revolution. I finally got it to come
across with no problem...well, one problem! I unziped it with the -d option to
have all the directories created. Half way through the installation, it
errored! AM I NOT MEANT TO SEE THIS DEMO?! Is there another hint to unzip
this program?

(I tried EA.COM one more time, so I could get the .EXE version...now all I get
from their site is errors the the server is returning extended information)

I JUST WANT TO SEE THE PROGRAM...THAT'S ALL. -pout

Maybe it's God's way of telling you it might not be a good idea to play
this demo! (for whatever reason). LOL try www.avault.com if you really
want to play this game.

We had the same problem--I think the demo has
long filenames, which pkunzip won't do. If you
use WinZip or another Win95 unzipper you should
be okay.

I recently had an experience which was the opposite of this, just as point
of interest for anyone reading this thread. I couldn't get WinZip to unzip
a file, it said there were errors, please use zipfix, etc. I did that and it
still wouldn't open the file. Finally, I decided to unzip it on a command
line using a real live copy of PKunzip to see what it might report/do. It
unzipped fine!

With Winzip, you have the option of using an internal unzipper or directing
it to a copy of Pkzip (like pkz204g.exe) for zip operations. Apparently
WinZip's internal zip chokes on some iteration or command line switch from
the real Pkzip.

The mystery continues,
