V2 worth it for GPL?

Same with me (Canopus Pure 3D).
I didn't find the brightness-regulator for the individual resolutions
yet. Probably we have to correct the Gamma-setting?

If you find out, please post or mail.

I'm not entirely sure the price of the V2's is going to drop all that
much more to be honest. They're already at a remarkably low price
(concidering just how good they are) of around 70, which is only
about 20 to 30 more than a Playstation game.

If you prefer using the higher end resolutions, you could stick TWO
V2's in your computer and use SLI.

This option is a fair bit cheaper than buying a V3 from scratch.

V2 worth it for GPL?

The TNT is cheaper than a V2 here ( Australia ) the only problem is the mirrors,
i.e. you have to change their refresh rate. This can get annoying when racing but
if you can put up with that I highly recommend the TNT.

V2 worth it for GPL?

I have a Pentuim II, 233 with 64 MB RAM.  I have a Diamond Moster II with 8
MB and I can get almost 30 FPS in 1024x768, with all the details turned on.

I've seen GPL without a 3d support, and it's just not the same (FPS or
Quality of Graphics).

I didn't benchmark, but the fps seems similar between Banshee (my
friends PC) and my Canopus Pure 3d Voodoo 1

Only an impression, can be wrong.

I don't have 3Dfx support for GPL when I use my laptop, and it's kak!
GPL should NOT be run without 3Dfx or Rendition!

Laptop specs:

Pentium II 300MHz
128MB RAM
ATI Rage Pro
Win 98

I have exactly the same config than you with a V2 OC to 110MHz and i run
always 800x600
36fps solid in training full detail
Very playable in races with 15 opponents (36 fps) ,down to 24fps at starts
,with detail level between 1/3 and 1/2
