no....they are trackside objects that will implanted into the game (same way
everyone makes game GFX, just ATM with current hardware your cant push em
around at full wack)....Im sure by the time Mr GF5 arrives and the joy of
the 3000hzs CPU itll push images of that render about at full chat on
1024x1024pixel textures without batting an eyelid...

Yes I care how RL is going, but I don't care so much to see 3D Studio images
that will not translate directly as shown.  I'm interested in seeing real in
game shots which to date there have not been any.
Sorry for sounding negative but to date nothing has been shown proving what
the game will be like.  Any artist could replicate what they have shown,
without even knowing anything about racing or sims in general, just take an
old photo and create a similar image in 3D studio.

these chaps also forget the first image you get as you enter the west site
(lotus49), is very much identical to what id expect to see ingame. Also
should be noted, that you can remove body panels, open doors on cars etc, I
think they still believe RL will look like a load of 2D bitmaps like GPL, a
shocks afoot i think...

It looks like a render to me, and well.. most companys release renders of
their games, before the ingame shots looks good enough. But it gives you an
impression of how it might look like

I say it's most likely a render, same with the opening page car shot.

All the first screenshots for CMR3 were just renders. I was amaaazed at
first at the 'screenshots', then they released real screenshots and the car
models looked a lot more like car models I'm used to seeing in games.

Uhh Mike, that's what *** developers have done for all those years.
Really, they all do that, all the time.

Yep, it is - but I think it shows the quality of the textures and models
involved :)

All the best,
