West-racing has been updated...
The graphics look just gorgeous but I wonder if I could buy the video card
to run the game.

I think it is just a case of good quality and well lit textures rather than
alot of gfx card killing polygons.  Looks lovely anyway, showoffs :P

All the best,

What's to say this isn't just a drawing?
Don't mean to be negative but nothing about that tells you much, it could be
in game still or a scene that would look great and run at 2 fps.

It's a 3d max render. No secret there.

Yup, so means little as far as game play goes.

At this point, would anybody really care?

And I think that the point here is, what good does it do us to see 3D
renderings? They are not representative of what the game will look like
if it is ever released so who cares?

Exactly.
Are they designing the box the game comes in or the game itself.
I think everyone would be more interested in seeing an actual in game shot
of something that an artist concept of what it might look like in the
prefect world.
It's not being negative, its being realistic.

Yes it's concept art, nothing more.
It's how that translates to the *** engine that will be the key.

Yep, probably right, they have it all looking nice in MAX then pass through
an exporter to make the textures look naff, change all the objects and
generally mess it up.

As DP's so kindly informed you <g>, 3DSMax is where the objects for the game
get created before being imported.  Plus, it does offer a glimpse of their
aesthetic sense and the "look & feel" they want the game to have.  Solid
value in that, even without a 150FPS readout in the corner of the screen.
Besides, have you seen ANY other simracing game screens that looked remotely
as good?

Some real talent there; good on ya, guys - go to it...
