T1 and SCGT....does it work??

by Cait & Brenda » Sun, 13 Jun 1999 04:00:00

I have heard that my T1 ot T2 for that matter wont work with SCGT, rumor or
fact?? If fact, is there a patch about to rectify this fault.

Checking before parting with my hard earned.

Cheers

There is no fault. It works fine with any standard windows joystick
or wheel. It will not recognize split-axis on some.

I cannot get my T2 to work Properly.  It is recognized but
since I have a bunch of flying stuff too and my T2 pedals are
doubling as rudders on another setup...I can't get it to work properly.
My right pedal produces a down motion and the left goes up  so if
I wan't to drive scgt then I have to reverse my feets which ain't easy.
all my other sims are ok..just scgt.
Now you can check out the demo first, that ought to give you
a good look at the joystick section.

I have tried anything I could think of to get the demo to recognize my
Nascar Pro. Seperate axis, combined axis, even setting it as a 2 axis 4
button joystick. ALL failed. I will NOT spend my money until I find how to
resolve this.

It's rumor as far as the T2 is concerned. I just installed SCGT on my
old network box last night. P166/Voodoo1/SB32 and T2 with adapter.
It works great.
The game actually plays better than I expected on such a meager PC.
With all the graphics options set to medium, I estimate the frame
rates are in the high 20's on practice and 2 player network laps.

Plenty fun for a network game.

Brendan,

I don't know where you heard or read this, but I have a T2,and it worked
right out of the box with SCGT.

My T2 with adapter works fine (the adapter just puts all the axis on
joystick 1).

Make sure you only have 1 joystick installed and it is on port 1.

Jason.

SCGT works fine with my Nascar Pro. I never tried the demo though...just the
retail version.

My 4-year-old T1 without adapter works great.  (Win98)  In fact, so does my
Grand Prix 1 wheel.
