mipmapping on TNT

by Tilu » Thu, 01 Apr 1999 04:00:00

Hello !

I have a problem...and it is a huge problem for me :(
I am racing Grand Prix legends online, and i am a TNT user, GPL does support
openGL, that is nice,
BUT, mipmapping looks so bad, that i had to turn it off, that`s becouse it
uses too many mipmapp levels, or
something like that. The image is VERY blurry, i cant see the signs, road
textures ect.
I`d like to find a way to turn TNT openGL mipmapping down to a costum level,
is there any way to do this ?
Can you try and fisn a wat to modify mipmapping in openGL ?

Please if you have the time, try to find a cure on my problem !

Thanks

I had an old Pure3d 3dfx card and now use the TNT with OpenGL drivers and
it looks every bit as good as the Pure3d card. I have all my TNT options
set for "highest performance - lowest quality" and the image is NOT
blurry.  Perhaps you should select a higher resolution or switch to
another driver?  The Hercules drivers are really good (and you can use
them on any TNT card).
