Grand Prix 4 crash

by Andrew Jone » Tue, 15 Apr 2003 07:41:38

I know that plenty of people have had problems with this game, but
please - has anyone got any ideas?
I have GP4, and it's been running fine - not one crash. But for
seemingly no reason, it gets past the 'Safedisc' screen and then crashes
to the desktop! Because of this, I have updated all of my display,
sound, etc. drivers and DirectX.
The only thing I have done is set up a network card since it last run
ok. Surely this couldn't have affected it?

I have Windows Me, and a Geforce2 MX. Thanks for any help.

And the patch does absolutely nothing.

Try running with the downloads you find here:
http://lfrs.com/gp4/download/downloads.shtml. So start GP4 from GPxPatch,
and use the decrypted exe.
I'm not sure it will help, but you never know....

No, they didn't help. Thanks for trying, though... and GPxPatch looks
interesting! Maybe I'll be able to try it one day :)
