I was at the Mall today and I found a new racing game.  It's called
Ridge Racer.  It's pretty cool.

You're driving something like a Group A Racing car.  It looks like a
Nissan Skyline GT-R.  The other cars look like Ferrari 348 but with a
wing on the back and no cheese graders on the sides.

You have three or four levels to choose from (I can't remember.)
But the hardest level had a different track lay out.  You can also
pick auto or Six speed Manual trans.

You can drift through the turns, and under steer/over steer seems realistic.
The steering wheel does not have the same feed back like on Virtual
Racing.  Also the wheel is huge.  It's like 13 or 14 inches in
diameter.  I think it would be better with a 10 or 11 inch wheel.

Not a bad game for 75 cents.  The graphics are better that V.R.

They should put V.R.'s steering mechanism, Super Monaco GP's seating
mechanism and this game together.

That would be one bad ass game.

On all of your points, I agree fully except for the seat because I never saw
the Super monaco sit-down version. The handling and looks of the cars are not
quite like a ferrari. The looks and handling look 'feel' more like the SCCA
Trans-am or IMSA GTO-GTS-GTU class. I'd think more like a plymouth Laser, Ford
Probe, an Eagle Talon. But that's one man's opinion.
