The way to get the Intergraph Reactor to work under Kali w95 using
nascar 2 with full rendition is to:
Use the Microsoft Drivers, not Intergraphs!
I only load them to race, then go back to Intergraphs drivers for
everything else.
I had the problem of : once a race was setup, then I would drop to
nascar 2 from Kali, and get to the connection menu, and maybe even the
chat menu, and then complete computer lockup, and my monitor would go to
sleep.
This solved that.
Also, when I would leave nascar 2, if I never made a connection and go
back to windows, again, complete lockup and reboot. This solved that.
I have bios 1.02r74, with the latest video drivers that came with the
download, and they still lock up, but with the Microsoft drivers, no
problem.
Go to the Start, Settings, Control panel, System, Device manager applet,
display adapters, click on the Reactor, check properties, go to
drivers, and there should be 2 choices, Microsoft Rendition, or
Intergraph Rendition. Choose Microsoft, close, reboot, then go and play
all you want on Kali.
I tried both the n2.bat and my own that loads DMADIAG first, then
rendition -DMA, and both work.
This should work until Intergraph gets better video drivers, and this
makes it seem that the video drivers are the problem.
