First a couple of questions for MicroProse:
In the agonizing months before F1GP2's release, there were
rumors of hostility between MicroProse and Geoff Crammond. There
was even talk of legal action,
I'm not sure of the issues. I've been the "technical guy" on
many software projects and have witnessed the the deterioration of
the client-consultant relationship on a couple of occasions.
Burrrr, makes me shiver just to think about it.
Anyway, what is the relationship now? Is everybody happy and
ready to address the inevitable flood of bug reports and wish lists
for this wonderful sim?
Will these be done with Geoff, or has he, "Thrown it over the
fence", to MicroProse for further development?
Or is this code frozen, never to be touched again?
-----
Assuming the answers indicate that F1GP2 will see further
development, I would like one person to maintain a bug report/ wish
list, and post it once a week. This way, MicroProse will have a
single point to see what the most rabid fanatics want. People who
have brought up points can be assured that their "pet peeves" haven't
been forgotten.
Viking1 provided this service to the flight-sim group, has anybody
told him about F1GP2? I haven't seen him among the numerous flight-
sim newsgroup refugees who now post here.
Viking1 broke the list into terse bug fix and wish list sections.
We don't need to do it just like that, I was thinking about a
single sentence, Viking 1 style, followed by a brief explanation, if
needed. I would also like to see EVERYBODY'S bug fix/wish list
included. If the keeper of the list disagrees with a submission,
("I want DEATH RAYS") attach an indication of the source and a brief
explanation of what the list keeper disagrees with, and add it to the
list anyway. I'd also like bullets on new entries.
So, MicroProse, are you listening? Viking1, are you lurking? I
can think of several folks who would be good at keeping this list, I
just would hate to see some pompous windbag who would turn a simple
suggestion into a ponderous, boring, 50 line diatribe get hold of it.
Thanks
Larry
