My machine is configured with a 4MB Millennium, Adaptec 2940, 3.2G Quantum
Fireball, 1G Seagate 51080N, Panasonic PD drive, 133 processor, Win95
OSR2.The 2940 and Millennium have the most recent (released/non-beta)
drivers. The Millennium also has a up-to-date BIOS. Both HDDs are formatted
FAT32. There are no IDE drives, and I've disabled the IDE controller and
all power management features in the motherboard BIOS setup.
The problem:
When I run F1-GP2, it fails (crashes) 9 out of 10 times when trying to
write a hot lap to disk. I.e. Escape out of a practice session (whilst
driving) and try to save a hot lap. Name the lap, and as it saves I get
what looks like a brief program stack dump in the lower 1/3 of the screen
and the game exits to DOS.
This occurs either with the game run from DOS (reboot to DOS), or a Win95
DOS session. This is not a bug I've heard about before so I'm not sure it's
the game itself being buggy.
Can/does anyone reproduce this/know of a fix??
