TOCA or Powerslide?

I have been scoping out a couple driving games the last few
days...........TOCA Championship and Powerslide. Would those of you
who have either of these titles please let me know what you think of
them? Tell me what you like or dislike about either one. Your input is
appreciated...................

TOCA or Powerslide?

I have TOCA and I quite like it, but there's a few things that I'd really
like to see.  Some of these may be in the upcoming TOCA2, due sometime in
March.

Likes:
- Close fender to fender, bumper to bumper racing, aggressive AI in computer
cars
- Force feedback support - OK, it's mostly just rumble strips and fender
rubbing, but it's still fun
- Sound - same as the touring cars I see on SpeedVision
- Physics modeling - it's no GPL, but I think it's close to Viper

Would like to see:
- Better graphics (especially***pit view) - although TOCA is 640x480, it
seems that the***pit graphics (in car view) is only 320x240
- Larger fields - I'm not sure what the field size is in BTCC races, but it
would be nice to have more than 16 entries
- More tracks - there are currently 9, which is not bad, but it's easy to
get spoiled with NR1999
- Garage and setup capability - TOCA has no car setup options.
- Pit stops - there's a pitlane, but no tire/fuel stops
- Mirrors - that's right, no mirrors in TOCA.  Only a rear view is
available - it is activated with a button and takes over entire screen
- More interest from sim community, only site that I've found is at

Both are good but Powerslide's graphics will blow you away (provided you have a
decent 3d card)

TOCA has more "realistic" racing. It has some fun arcade stuff in it also. I
tried the Powerslide demo and the graphics were great, but its a little to
arcade like style racing to me. I think their both good so it depends on
what you like.
