SCGT: Road America + Touring cars

Well I did it...re-installed SCGT.  Took several attempts to find a
workable no-cd patch but got it going also with the pits touring car patch.
And...several Touring cars from England, USA & Germany & Oz...What fun to
run those little 2 litre buzz bombs on Road America...That alone was the
reason I dug SCGT up..wanted to check out the cpr > SCGT conversion....Track
is ok in car...but the outside views the track looks twice as wide....
not bad tho...

Dave,

Where did you get Road America? Been looking for it for a while, but
obviously not hard enough...

Thanks

I had to be sneaky to find it...went to the speedsims.com forums about
scgt and ran a search there in the general scgt forum.  Found several posts
and that lead me to...

http://www.racesimcentral.net/

keep in mind there is an early effort called Elkhart Lake that suppossedly
has no pits.  The biggest problem with this Road America from CPR is...the
straights are so long you see PLENTY of track draw-in ahead of you...and the
trees....are tiny.  Sure they have trees where they should be...but they
just don't tower over the track casting shadows....(I think I'm getting
spoiled by SBK 2k1)     The track also still seems huge in it's
width...however it is an improvement on the old ICR2 papy track.  A few
changes in turn 2 & 3 and more elevation changes than Papy has, plus the
last turns are now much closer, not the almost 90 degree turns from the ICR2
track.

Might I also suggest the Brands Indy track available at SRS's site.  It is
a shortened version of the Brands Hatch course and is tailor made for
Touring car mayhem.
