INDY 500 (racing sim?) Due OUT!!

by Doug » Thu, 16 Sep 1999 04:00:00

I don't know if anyone has seen this but I thought it would be best if I
just paste it in here.  My source is from the IMS website
(www.brickyard.com).

Interactive video game software is being developed by GT Interactive in
preparation for an Indianapolis 500/Pep Boys Indy Racing League game for
personal computers, Sony PlayStation and Nintendo 64 game consoles. The
release date is tentatively scheduled for March 2000.

Where on the site did you see that? I tried a couple of things, but it
only gives me a link to various series that race at indy.

The news posted at your web site are a bit old John. The initial post
mentions new information. Unless your contacts at IMS provided you with
more info, I hope you can share it with us ;)

Philster,

As far as I know, I don't believe that GT Interactive has even announced a
developer yet.  Could be that I'm out of the loop, but my guess is that this
may still be a while off, so don't hold your breath for a spring 2000
release.  The cancellation of Trans Am Racing and the success of Driver may
have shaken things up at GT Interactive, which may have affected all race
titles.
