Do you mean GP3? Won't work in GP2 because it is USB and needs windows
drivers. GP2 is a dos game. If you mean GP3 then I got it to work by
creating a custom profile and mapping Left paddle to the space bar and
the Right paddle to the shift key. Under settings select combined mode
for the pedals. In the game set wheel to horizontal and gas and brakes
to vertical. Calibrate the wheel, but when it comes to the brake pedal
it doesn't detect the pedal until I press it down twice for some odd
reason. This way works for me except that in the game there is always
a small amount of throttle being applied and when I put it in first
routine they have in GP3.

I'm using auto shifting for now. :-)
Do you find the brakes are very touchy too? I just touch the brake
pedal and the wheels lock up. Shouldn't be this way at all. I will buy
GP3 once this stuff gets fixed, but not sooner.

Also, The way you described this wheel working in gp3 is the same for me as
well except the part about needing to depress the brake pedal twice to
calibrate. I've also recorded a macro to change down from 6th gear to 1st
gear so that when I need to, I hit the "X" button and it changes
down...works well as long as I'm pressing the brake hard enough...if I'm
just barely slowing down, it will miss a gear changes, so the macro I'm
using actually has 7 or 8 "presses" of the shift key....eventually it does
get down to first gear.....this is ***ed.
The gas pedal is OK, it's just the brake pedal is too sensitive. I've
tried various settings from 0% - 100% and they are all still too
sensitive.

Nah, I'll just go back to F12K and hope EA/ISI fixes the AI and
improves the graphics engine in F1 2001. I find the driving model in
F12K much better than GP3 and that's what matters to me the most.
