I was good; I did all the things I was told I needed to do. I dl'ed
hawaii.exe from the Papyrus ftp site. I unpacked the new files. I even
ran a few laps to see if my setup needed changing. When I logged onto
Hawaii, it updated my newly updated files, and instructed me to exit and
unzip the new files. I complied, and reconnected. Hawaii complained that
I need to exit and unzip hawaii.zip and multi136.zip. I complied, and
reconnected. Hawaii downloaded new a new agree.txt and a few assorted
files, and instructed me to exit and unzip hawaii.zip and multi136.zip.
I complied, and reconnected. Hawaii complained that... An hour later,
and 40 long-distance minutes poorer, I gave up.
I was patient. I followed directions. I feel frustrated and abused. My
inclination is to pick up the phone and find out which jerk-off did this
particular *** to***up my holiday afternoon. But I didn't;
couldn't, actually. This faceless mess called Hawaii stays aloof and
bans personal interaction. I don't care, actually. All I want to know is
what Hawaii is looking for, and what I can do to fix this mess. (And
then we can talk about personalities. I need a name to burn in effigy,
an offering to appease the angry racing gods.)
First order of business: what is Hawaii looking for? What should I do to
fix it?
Mike.
