Microsoft is now doing a phone survey of CPR owners in reference to an
expansion pack. They are asking many questions, wanting to know what you
think of CPR, how it can be improved, what you would like to see added to
the sim, asking you to rate the importance of key features and aspects, and
for your comments on other CPR related issues (such as Game Zone). Also
asked is whether you would like to see the new tracks from the 1998 season
and the new team and driver lineups. Now I cannot say that this definitely
means an expansion pack is coming since I don't work for Microsoft, but you
can probably draw your own conclusions. Sounds like great news to me.

An expansion pack would be great, but hopefully they will put out a final patch
for the first CPR beforehand. I think we all deserve one,  if they expect the
same people to purchase the expansion pack. Otherwise count me out.

What would you think if this is the patch that everyone wants (improved AI,
yellow flags, etc.) plus more (the Houston and Japan tracks, updated
teams/drivers), and free, and is called an expansion pack?

I think that if that happened then I would definately buy CPR 2 when it comes
out. In other words, my faith in TR/Microsoft racing sim/games would be
restored! I think realistically though, it will sell for $29.99. Have you
information to the contrary? If so, let's hear it...it would be great if it weas
free, but that seems 99.9% unlikely....then again miracles happen....Clinton did
get elected twice,  after all! (here come the political flames...ooouuucchhh!!!)

I don't think this post is an April Fool's related deal. If it was from
anyone else, then I would agree. David, however,  is a pretty avid CPR
defender/supporter, so I doubt he would make such a post in jest-April
Fools or not...at least I hope not!

No, no April Fools joke!  I promise. Funny someone would think of that
though. Another person posted at the APEX the same info. I would expect more
news will come from others soon.

I remember the person on the phone saying that it would be free. They were
doing their job of taking a survey, not actually from the CPR development
team, so the accuracy of what they said could be in doubt in the case of
cost/no cost to us. Another person who posted at the APEX the same
information I have here at r.a.s said that they were told it would be free
also.

If we can type the word FREE in capital, it'd be okay, it being a patch
;^)

We would think it was great.  What gives you the idea that it would contain
what you suggest AND be free??

I hope you're right, but it definitely falls under the
category of "If it seems too good to be true......."
