Abandon the 3dfx I would think. I owned two of them, I think for their
time they were great cards, but they do NOT have the strength to run newer
sims. You replaced an outdated card with an outdated card.
The latest edition of PC Gamer had a page about video cards and flight sims
and couldn't find a sim that didn't work with NON 3dfx cards...you may have
to find a glide wrapper but all the titles he mentioned were originally
3dfx titles that now work with d3d or opengl or some 3dfx hack like a glide
wrapper.
Your cpu is also heavily involved in producing good framerates. What
cpu and what speed? How much ram? And what motherboard? The more info
you can provide the better our advice.
