I have a P-90 with 8 meg and a Stealth 2 meg vram card.  The game looks
awesome.  I run 38 cars at Bristol but have to turn some of the detail
off or on auto.  But even the Readme.txt file with the disks says that
can be expected.  I was suprised that I couldn't run everything.  But
I'm not complaining.  It is one awesome game, and the SVGA is GREAT.

BTW how can you tell what frame rate your running in the game??

I also posted a message on Papyrus' B.B.S. asking them what would a P-90
owner have to do to "run it all"  when I hear I'll let you know.  If
anyone else has a Pentium lets here you comments.

Thanks,
Gerald

Hi all!!

I've seen some posts telling me that NASCAR Racing is yet another winner
from Papyrus.
What I am curious about is what sorts of frame rates are possible in SVGA mode
with a 90 and 100Mhz pentium. Is it possible to get 30 frames/sec on one of the
aforementioned boxes with full detail? If not, what sorts of frame rates do you
in fact get?

Thanks,

Cameron..

cameron, HELL NO.   I get about 13fps on full detail, and I have a P100,
Stealth64 Vram, 16megs........

It is a slow, but it IS a CRISP 13fps!!!

all in all i enjoy SVGA and cant imagine playing in low res mode.

I'm getting close to that on my P5/66 with full detail...

Guys I'm running a P-90 and have to turn some stuff off, but it's still
awesome.  In fact I'm hard pressed to go back to the low res mode.<G>

My question to anyone.  How are you finding out what frame rate you
running in the game.

The Frame rate option of I understand correctly only tells when the "auto"
graphics will turn on and off.  But not affect the speed of the frame
rate.  So how are you telling.  Do you just go buy what turning on and
off, or is the a "hot key" to hit, or a processor key (like in W.C.0
that is giving you the frame rate.

Thanks,
Gerald

I finally got all the proper parts for my P-90 system and... if I turn off the
asphalt texture... I can drive in SVGA with all opponents as long as I keep my
visual range to a total of 22 in front and behind me.

Needless to say, I'm e***d.  Now if only IndyCar would be upgraded to this
level... I sure miss the speed on the road.

Any chance you could post your definition of 'proper parts' for a P90
system - I am in the process of purchasing one. I have gone for the
Diamond Stealth 64 VRAM and 16mb of RAM, hope this is proper!
