Frame Rate Displayer for NASCAR?

Frame Rate Displayer for NASCAR?

by Walton » Sun, 21 Jan 1996 04:00:00

In the Strategies and Secrets tip book it says there are programs to
measure frame rate.
Can these be run during NASCAR as you make adjustments to graphics shown?
Where do you find these frame rate displayers?

I already know about the min and max frame rate settings in NASCAR but
this sounds better and easier.

Thanks in advance for any info or posts.

Set all graphic detail to ON,  except for one which you can see all the
time, like car texture,  set it to AUTO.  Then set your min and max frame
rates to one number apart eg: max at 15,  min at 14.  Now when you drive watch
the car texture of the cars in front of you,  if it's off then your frame rate
is below 14,  if its on the rate is above 15.  Adjust your min and max frame
rate settings until the car texture  is flickering on and off,  that is your
real time frame rate.  It will vary constantly as you go around the track and
more or less graphic detail is called for,  eg: more or less traffic,
grandstands ect ect.
