: My understanding is that the version of ICRII for DOS on the new
: w95/dos package is 1.01; the patch out for old (1.00) DOS ICRII takes
: it to 1.02. What is the difference between 1.01 and 1.02? How can
: folks with the new 1.01 patch it to 1.02?
From the readme file with the 1.01->1.02 patch the major changes seem to
be with the mouse conflicting with the joystick input and a "minor" fix
to the yellow flag bug. It also supposedly fixes the
"traction-weight/shift" bug. But, I am under the impression this was
taken care of in the 1.01 patch.
Also of note is the fact that the instructions for the 1.01->1.02 patch
are OVERKILL. There is no need to do a complete hard drive install. As
far as I can tell the only files being patched that are not installed
via a partial install are: OBJS.DAT & ROL.DAT. It then should be
possible to simply copy these files from the CD-ROM into their
perspective directories on the Hard Drive and then run the patch.
OBJS.DAT goes in the ICR2\OBJS directory and ROL.DAT goes in the
ICR2\ROL directory.
