No conversion needed, smaller files, captions for speed and times etc. and
mostly - Camera angles.

I don't think so ... I'm pretty sure the tracks, textures, cars, everything
stored inside .dat files are copyrighted stuff and can't just be distributed
around.

        ok then, how about giving the code to papyrus and having them
distribute it?  Or (if it's possible) sell it to papyrus.  If there was
a way to make this a stand alone application, the uses are almost
endless.
