Is there a way to obtain to be shown lap times instead of position during
the race?

I use <Pause> F2 on a suitable straight.

My definition of 'race' is
1. spin a few times on cold tyres
2. circulate half a lap behind everyone else, getting into a groove,
and finding some new ones
3. put it some fast laps when the leaders catch me

(heh! - not someone you want in an online race, so I don't!)
