RBR - Italian 2005 Rally??? Online?? - teaser

What do you folks make of this teaser?

http://www.racesimcentral.net/

I'm uncertain whether to take this seriously, given the conflicting
information about the potential modability of Richard Burns Rally.

The information I have to present is:

a. The game as released is very difficult (if not impossible) to modify (new
cars, tracks, etc.). Many people tried hard when it was first released on PC
in September but didn't get very far. I did see one "screenshot" of a France
tarmac track with a snow surface. The author claimed that he had copied
across the snow adhesion physics as well as the textures. However, no actual
mod was ever made available.

b. There have been several rumours of an official update to allow modding,
but no sign of its realease yet.

c. An online play add-on is available, but is still in its infancy. It uses
the blue ghost car to represent one other player only.

Any thoughts much appreciated.

The teaser is for the online play, not a new rally/stages/maps.  I am sure
they didn't want to use any of the in-game graphics for one of the existing
rallies.  We are a LONG, LONG way off anyone figuring out, let alone
spending the months creating, new stages.
