LoL-Goy, Dag I didnt think I'd get such a concise detailed re: :)
Ok, I can see your point! I was j/k but since you took the time
with this re: I will too.
I guess since the 60s seems only like yesterday to an old racing
hippy like me I enjoy GPL a lot! It doesnt remind me of any of
the newer f1 game-sims tho & I agree with what you say about
GPL even tho some here seem to have issues with this but that
is their problem not ours.. :)
Since I have been PC sim racing online&off since Micropose
World Circuit came out I like *all!* PC type sims... If it has a
motor in it, or on it, I will race it.:-) For me I just like basically
all of them unless they just don't cut it imho & there are a few
that do!! So I guess we kinda agree!!.....eh? <g>
now thats my 1/100th of cent worth
{Side note: I dont understand the California thing? no biggie}

|
| Plenty of it, unlike say....California ? :-)
|
| I race online, or used to anyway, but hardly at all in GPL
|
| I did more than my fair share with Nascar2 on TEN, and have raced some
| in the TPTCC league with N3, I'm currently between apartments and have
| nowhere to set up my PC/wheel/pedals/chair so I can enjoy online racing,
| which is why I'm missing the current TPTCC season, but there will be
| others
|
| The thing is, I don't race GPL much, not because I don't think it's any
| good, because I do, I happen to think it's one of the best racing sims
| ever released and will still stand as a benchmark for other sims for
| quite some time, I just don't have much interest in old F1 cars, or
| current for that matter, I like watching F1 on TV, and I will more than
| likely attend a race one day, but I've never aspired to be an F1 driver
|
| Give me touring cars any day, preferably the Australian V8 variety :-),
| failing that, I'll take historic touring cars.....but I gotta have
| fenders and a roof :-)
|
|
| Beers and cheers
