rec.autos.simulators

If I download a car how do I get the car worked into N2 as the car that
I want to drive?
I am not sure what the steps are to do this..please mail reply.

k, hope i can remember every thing from the top of my head. here goes.
once downloaded, if its a *.car file, rename it to t_player.car; if its
an *.pcx file, (put them in your nascar\cars dir wether its a *.car or
a*.pcx)   then go into info (in the game) and select yourself. got to
paint car and import the *.pcx file.   *.car files are much easier cause
you just use it instead of your original t_player.car and it will load
automatically.
some correct me if i forgot anything.

If it's a .car file, put it in your Sierra/Nascar2/cars folder. Start the
sim, and go to driver info. You will see your new .car file in the left
hand list of available drivers. Move it over into the right hand list, your
current driver list. It allows max of 39, so you'll have to move one out to
the available list to be able to add the new one. To get it moved up into
the first slot, the car you drive, use the < key. (that feature came with
the patch).
