RASCAR reminder

8/31/02 4pm eastern
Track: California
Length - 40% (100 laps)
Yellows - on      No racing back to the line on cautions.  Just ease off the
gas and maintain position.
Starts - double file
Pit road speed limit - 55 mph
Pace car speed - 65 mph(leader should maintain this speed when the pace car
pulls off - no anticipating the green flag!)

I'll steal a couple of lines from one of my other leagues:
1) hold your line - whether low or high on the start - hold your line !!

2) If you mess it up - If you slide up the race track revert to # 1 - HOLD YOUR
LINE ! - at the start and restart what do you feel the chances are you can
slide up one or two lanes in turn one and think for a sec someone hasn't
already taken advantage of it by holding their line low and passing you ? If
you make a mistake YOU pay the price don't try to pass on the costs to others .

3) No flaming during the race, or in RAS afterwards.  If you have a problem
with another driver, feel free to send me an e-mail after the race.

4) Drive as professionals, guys.  Give some respect to your fellow competitors
- both on and off-track.

Eldred
p.s. someone asked me last week about his friend(brother?) being able to join.
But, you didn't send me the reminder e-mail like I asked.  He can't join if I
don't know who he is...

Another hint.  Don't think this is the same as Michigan.  It's not by a long
shot.

This is more of a huge flat track (only 14 deg banking) and it is much more
slickery than Michigan.

The rear gets loose going in, and the front pushes going out.

Plenty of room though :)

See everyone there!
